Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech)

Shift: 07:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Pay Rate:

• Local: $58/hr
• Travel: $68.61/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) for a contract assignment in Cooperstown, NY. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a variety of echocardiography procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, and will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform adult transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), including inpatient portable and outpatient studies
• Conduct adult transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), including high-level disinfection (HLD) of probes
• Assist in adult stress echocardiography (STE) procedures
• Utilize ultrasound contrast and agitated saline when required
• Familiarity with structural heart procedures
• Participate in on-call coverage approximately every 5th weekend (Friday–Monday), one night per week, and during holidays as needed (1-hour response time required)

Required Qualifications:

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an accredited Cardiac Diagnostic Sonography program (2-year program)
• Registry eligible for Adult Echocardiography through ARDMS
• RCS certification eligible through CCI

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficient in adult TTE, TEE, and STE
• Experience with ultrasound contrast and agitated saline
• Knowledge of TEE probe HLD procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pediatric echocardiography experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Experience using Philips EPIQ ultrasound system
